Update from Studio City

First, thank you all for the kind messages and support during this incredibly challenging time. 💛

My family and I live in the Studio City hills, between the two major fires here in LA, though we’re closer to the Palisades fire. It’s been a tense few days. Earlier this week, two additional fires broke out nearby, and we were placed on evacuation alert, ready to leave at any moment. Thankfully, those fires were contained quickly. We also received another evacuation alert the next day, but it turned out to be a false alarm for our area, thankfully. Still, the stress of it all lingers.

Just as we started to feel a little calmer, the Palisades fire surged Thursday night, coming a little closer to us, with more areas being evacuated. It’s a constant reminder of how quickly things can change. We’re staying packed and ready, especially with more winds expected in the coming days.

Gratefully, the air quality in my area has been manageable so far—though we know others aren’t as fortunate. It feels surreal to experience moments of normalcy, like a quick trip to the grocery store, while so much chaos surrounds us.

We’re doing our best to stay informed and make safe decisions, but it’s been such a heavy and heartbreaking time for so many. Thank you again for keeping us in your thoughts—it means more than you know.
