It was a fun morning!

Today, Coach Gina had the privilege of working with the softball pitchers from Martinsville Middle School and Martinsville High School (Illinois). The group came to campus for a two-hour clinic, put in the work, and made great strides toward getting better for the upcoming season.

Thank you for trusting us with your athletes! We appreciate the opportunity and can’t wait to watch you all have a great season. Best of luck this year! 🥎💙

I couldn’t get a more perfectly in sync video again if I tried 😂 Today at bullpen we were breaking down individual mechanics from each of their Motor Preferences profiles and making tweaks.

Caught a cool video in the process!

✳️If your coach doesn’t talk about…

- pronation
- deceleration
- acceleration
- separation
- sequencing
- hip hinge
- hip/leg extension
- body parts such as hamstrings, lats, forearm, bicep, glutes, feet, core, etc

✳️Then you might want to reconsider who you’re learning from.

Pitching is VERY complex. It has to be broken down piece by piece and worked on one step at a time.

Pitchers need to learn the what, when, where, and why to fully grasp each piece or they won’t be able to work on it, improve it, and self correct it.

Today at Open Bullpen we had stations to touch on several important parts of pitching:
1.) A spot station with our friend “Bob” with a twist to avoid throwing down the middle
2.) A station breaking down drive mechanics
3.) A spin station using smaller balls to really FEEL
4.) A speed station working run throughs and broad jumps
5.) A conditioning station catered for pitchers needs!

Come join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 10AM!
