Stumptown Trail Runs opens up on Sunday morning! After 13 years of producing this one, we get to have it on back-to-back days. The 50K is Saturday, and the Half Marathon is on Sunday. There is not a race on Monday (Memorial Day).

This is your opportunity to race where the Wildwood movie takes place!

We almost made it through the entire Fall Portland Trail Series without getting wet, but this week we are going to embrace the long-overdue rain and finish the series with a 4.2-mile race, followed immediately by the awards party at the warm and dry Lucky Labrador Brewing Company. Drop-in spots are available. Race start is 6:15 p.m.

Elk-Kings Trail Races were off the hook good this year. So happy we revived this one. We're going to do something we've never done before and open registration for next year's race right away. So if you like to plan ahead and lock in, sign up for the 25K or 11M starting at 7:00 a.m. Oct 20th. The 2027 race is on October 16. We've even include a special offer for everyone who raced it this year in the post-race email that just went out.

We're laying the 50K to rest and focusing on the 25K as it is one-of-a-kind and on the 11-miler as it is still a hard course, but a great way for folks not wanting to run an ultra or climb mountains to experience the Tillamook Forest.

This week's Portland Trail Series is an unusual route. We don't bring this one out very often. It's 6.7 miles out Leif, up Firelane 1 to Wildwood, and then back. Also will be the first to definitely need a headlamp. Join us Wednesday evening for the fun. Drop-ins available for $25.

Elk-Kings Trail Races registration closes tomorrow night. Got one more 50K in you this year? No. How about a 25K? Still no. Then a 11-miler? All in a pretty fall-colored forest alongside a river.

The Lastest: Katie Bumatay, from Seattle. She set a new women's record, a new overall record, and completed 43 laps (177.59 miles). The assist to get there comes from Adrian Shipley who set a new distance PR for himself in the process, by 40 miles.

And if you missed it, this was Katie’s first race. She was inspired to do something after watching Rachel Entrekin’s win at Cocodona this year. She put in the work, studied this race format, and had a plan. And she crushed it.
