The Internet Hitting Coach Moves into the Conejo Valley
ANDY COLLINS, THE INTERNET HITTING COACH·MONDAY, JANUARY 15, 2018·

Author, Coach to National Teams, and Video Producer to help local players

Newbury Park, CA — Coach Andy Collins has been coaching girls softball since 1974 and along with giving private lessons he is currently the hitting coach for Ventura High School. Collins has been providing his coaching online since 2003 with over 100 pages on his website, http://www.theInternetHittingCoach.com. He has just purchased a home in Newbury Park and will be giving private lessons on hitting, catching, fielding and throwing in the Conejo Valley now. Collins started coaching the only girl’s fastpitch travel team in Ventura County when the girls were in junior high and half of the team graduated up and won two national championships with Miss Softball America. Now there are hundreds of local teams and numerous travel teams in the County.

“We didn’t have to do much coaching because the girls all knew the fundamentals from Andy Collins” – Moses Medina, coach of the 2 time national championship team from Ventura, CA, speaking of how the girls were so successful. Collins found his experience coaching these girls and his slo-pitch teams so enjoyable, that it grew into a lifelong passion that he still enjoys to this day. Along the way he has found time to write a book, How to make All-Stars, motivated by his experience watching kids desiring to make the All-Star team but not knowing the ins and outs in how to go about making teams like All-Stars, Travel teams, and High School teams. He’s also recorded 3 videos, about hitting, fielding, and coaching, an audio CD with a 12 time national winning coach, and helped one of his student’s parents invent a baseball/softball hitting device. National Team, has been on clinic staffs with Olympic Players and National Championship coaches, as well as leading clinics for full leagues training their coaches and their players. Collins is a member of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, having just returned from their national convention in December attended by 1,600 coaches ranging from Professional Softball, National Teams, Colleges, High Schools, Travel Teams, and Youth Teams.
