We hope you are all staying safe and healthy as we all fight this pandemic together. We want you to know that we are as eager to get back out on the field as all of you. We have been working tirelessly with school officials to ensure not only that we’ll have a 2020 season, but a safe one at that. The health of our players and their families comes before all else.
While our season is on pause while we wait for health officials give us the clear, it is just that. A pause. Our goal is for the 2020 season to commence. ‘Play Ball’ will be something we hear again on Sundays sometime in the near future. At the moment, our target date to push play on the season is June. We’re hoping that by then the curve has been flattened enough that school and health officials will green light our ability to be outdoors and on our fields again.
In the meantime, we implore you to keep you game faces on. Don’t count baseball out this year. Our season will still consist of 15 games plus playoffs, it just may roll past our usual end date this year. Don’t just sit there and collect dust. Go take some swings in your backyard, get some pushups or crunches in. Try to keep yourself physically and mentally ready for that glorious re-opening day to come!
Keep an eye out for more updates to come your way as we near the end of May. Keep tabs on your teammates, make sure they’re as ready as you are when that time comes. For managers who may still be in need of some players, there are still Player Pool submissions coming through. Just reach out to Ryan Costelloe and he’ll help you out. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Stay baseball ready.
