Late post I know… It’s been a very rainy season for us this fall. It was great getting back on the field last weekend, especially with a surprise return of our senior captain Hayden Miller! We only got to play one day, but it was a good day of baseball!

Special thanks to our sponsor Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q in Clayton for the continued support!

We love celebrating success of our players. Even though Parker Harpin isn’t officially on our roster, he has been a friend of the program since we started and we couldn’t be more proud of our (unofficial) honorary JoCo member! Congratulations Parker on your commitment to Methodist!

HUGE thank you to Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q in Clayton for renewing their Gold Level Sponsorship for the second season in a row! They have such a big heart for the community and are so generous to all of the organizations they support! Thank you for making our seasons possible!

A few of the boys and I went on Saturday after practice. Go by the Flower's Plantation location or the HWY 70 location in Clayton and let them know you saw this post! Tell them how important the work they do in the community is!

Murray's Tire & Auto, Inc has renewed their sponsorship again this year! A special thanks to Gary Murray for always supporting our boys. They are one of our longest standing sponsors. We would not be able to do what we do without sponsors like them. Thank you, Gary!

For all of your tire and auto needs, go see Gary and his team on S. Saunders St. in raleigh!

🚨Committed!🚨
Congratulations to Carson Hewlett for his commitment to University of North Carolina Pembroke! Go Braves! Carson is the first of our seniors to commit to play at the next level. He’s an incredible player and young man. Well deserved and a great example of hard work paying off! Congratulations Carson!

We kicked off our Fall season with a showcase with Prospect Select in Greensboro. We learned some good lessons this weekend and had some good highlights.

Our outstanding offensive performances this weekend:

AVG OBP
Carson Hewlett .556 .600 w/ 4 RBI 4 R
Jordan Greene .429 .600 w/ 1 RBI 3 R
Evan Gardiner .429 .429 w/ 1 RBI 2 R
Jacob Simmonds .375 .500 w/ 3 RBI

On the mound, we had some challenges, but special shoutout to Evan Goldberg for coming in to clean up after an injury and putting up 4 Ks and a 0.00 ERA.

Defensive standouts:

Carson Hewlett: 12 putouts, 1 assist, 0 errors catching 17 innings being an absolute wall
Liam Gosselin: 11 putouts, 1 assist
Devin Fountain: 5 putouts, 6 assists, 1 DP

Proud of all of the boys! Excited to put the work in to grow these lists!
