IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!
I have been so very excited to be able to start this new chapter of the Del Guyer Sport Trios, we have a roster of 20+ teams ready to get on the lanes. In the early summer, there was a sense that it was the right time to begin to reorganize the league. Looking at the current situation in our communities, it is best that we pause the start of the league for the time being.
The meeting & tournament scheduled for Aug. 30th (this Monday) is cancelled. We will also NOT be starting on Sept. 13th. Please spread the word to your teammates. The center will continue to remain closed on Mondays, until we feel it's a good time to return. I appreciate that they will hold that time slot available to us once things feel safer. You all have my contact information, and can certainly reach me directly. This message is the same email I just sent out to all those currently signed up to bowl the league.
It is everyone's personal choice to bowl leagues or tournaments, I 100% respect those points of view. As the person ORGANIZING a large group, from all parts of the LA area, I have to view things from a different perspective. My thoughts on having short, 8 week sessions were for this very possibility. It offers the flexibility to start or stop as necessary. This is why I am making the decision now, BEFORE we have to react to things once we start.
For those of you wishing to bowl now, you have the opportunity to still join another league. I wish you great success on the lanes! The Harley's Scratch Classic at Simi Bowl is an excellent option. It is starting on Sept. 8th. Mason Sherman is the contact person for that league.
Once we see the landscape change enough for the league to resume, AJ & I will contact you all. I want to thank everyone for your continued support for this amazing league!
