在美國有許多個國家公園, 但很多小細節其實很多人都不曉得, 而且真正答案也很有可能出乎你的意料之外喔!

@第一個國家公園 National Park
這個答案有兩種版本。 温泉國家公園 (Hot Springs National Park) 是最早被國會通過，名字正式叫National Park的地方，成立於04/20/1832。黃石國家公園 (Yellowstone National Park) 算是第二個National Park，成立於03/01/1872。1916年National Park Service (NPS) 成立後可能是覺得Hot Springs National Park ”不像”是個National Park或其他原因，一直到1921年才把它納入NPS之下，所以根據自己的邏輯宣稱Yellowstone National Park 是美國第一個National Park。
@第一個野生動物保護區 (National Wildlife Refuge) ：
Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge (位於佛羅里達 (Florida)) 成立於1903年。
@第一個國家保護區 (National Monument) ：
魔鬼塔國家保護區 (Devils Tower National Monument) ，成立於09/24/1906。
@第一個國家海岸 (National Seashore) ：
Cape Hatteras National Seashore (位於北卡 (North Carolina)) 成立於1953年。
@第一個國家湖岸 (National Lakeshore) ：
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (位於Michigan) 成立於10/15/1966。
@面積最大的國家公園 (National Park) ：
位於阿拉斯加 (Alaska)的Wrangell-St Elias 國家公園，總面積八百三十二萬英畝 (8,323,147 acres)，其中七百六十六萬英畝 (7,662,725 acres) 屬於聯邦政府 (NPS fee acres)。
