Happy Birthday, Courtney!🎉

Today we’re celebrating our Director of Training, Courtney Bryan.

For many members, Courtney is one of the first people they meet at ADAPT, someone who takes the time to understand their goals and helps them see a path forward. That care carries into her work with our clients and her leadership of our training team.

Courtney, thank you for the guidance, thought, and heart you bring to this community. We’re grateful to have you in our corner and hope today brings you plenty of reasons to smile!

Help us celebrate Courtney by leaving a birthday wish or a favorite memory with her in the comments!

HAPPY NATIONAL COACHES DAY to the best crew in Beaverton!

These people are something else. They remember your kid's name. They notice when your knee's acting up before you say a word. They know exactly when you need a push and when you need a laugh.

Because of them, our members are back on the trail, back on the court, and back on the floor with their grandkids.

That's not a workout. That's a life back. And our coaches make it happen every single day.

Coaches, we see you. We appreciate you. We're SO lucky to have you.

Drop a shoutout to your favorite ADAPT coach below. Let's flood the comments!

19 years of Kandice!

Sunday was a double celebration: Kandice’s birthday AND her 19-year ADAPTiversary!

For nearly two decades, Kandice has been part of helping our clients move forward. As our Director of Therapy and ADAPT Advanced, she helps people work toward greater strength, independence, and confidence in their everyday lives.

Behind that work are relationships with clients and families, meaningful milestones, and years of showing up for this community. We’re so grateful to have her on our team.

Happy belated birthday and happy ADAPTiversary, Kandice! Thank you for the care, knowledge, and heart you bring to ADAPT.

Help us celebrate her in the comments! Share a birthday wish, a favorite memory, or how Kandice has made a difference in your ADAPT journey.

You made this possible.

To wrap up Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, we’re celebrating this community, and sharing Jim’s story in place of our usual Fridays with the Founder.

More than 80 members donated during our Trainer Challenge, raising $19,558 for ADAPT Advanced.

That’s enough to help more than 18 new Advanced clients begin their ADAPT journey. Funds will also help current clients purchase discounted training packages throughout the year, supporting continued progress.

And congratulations to Team Jessica, our Trainer Challenge winners! Thank you to everyone who donated, shared stories, and supported our trainers.

September may be over, but the work continues. Our Advanced team, Jessica, Sheldon, Eric, and Kandice, works with people with a wide range of backgrounds, injuries, and conditions. Some have trained with us for years. Others are just beginning.

Jim is one of those people with a story worth hearing.

After a cycling accident in September 2025 left him unable to feel or move his legs, Jim faced an uncertain future. Through his recovery, including outpatient rehabilitation and training with Jessica at ADAPT, he has worked toward everyday independence—and playing pickleball with his friends again.

Hear Jim share how faith, family, personalized training, and connection have supported his journey.

Watch his story here, and share it with someone who would appreciate hearing it.

Today we’re celebrating 2 years of Megan at ADAPT!

You’ve probably seen her behind the camera, heard from her in your inbox, or watched her help Brian stay on topic during Fridays with the Founder. Today, we’re putting her on the other side of the camera.

As our Marketing Specialist, Megan helps share what makes ADAPT special: the people, their stories, and the progress that makes a difference in their lives. From highlighting client milestones to bringing our community together for events, she gives you plenty of reasons to stay connected.

Megan, thank you for the creativity, care, and energy you bring to ADAPT and for helping tell the stories that deserve to be heard. We’re grateful to have you on this team.

Help us wish Megan a happy 2-year ADAPTiversary in the comments!

Today is the final day of Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month.

To close out the month, we’re sharing a video from our Director of Therapy, Kandice, about the ADAPT Advanced Program and the impact it can have for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other neurological conditions.

ADAPT Advanced provides individualized, progressive training designed to help each client build greater strength, capability, independence, and confidence. Throughout September, we’ve had the privilege of sharing more about this program, the people it serves, and the work happening inside ADAPT every day.

Today also marks the end of our Trainer Challenge, and after a very competitive few weeks, it’s not over yet!

There is still time to donate to the ADAPT Advanced Scholarship Fund and support your favorite trainer or staff member. Donate here: https://helphopelive.org/campaign/27/ or visit the link in our bio.

After donating, email [email protected] with the name of the person you’re supporting, or stop by the front desk tomorrow to let us know.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our stories, and helped us recognize Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month. Your support helps make this important work possible.

11 years.

That's how long Eric has been part of the ADAPT family, and the whole gym runs a little better because of it.

If you've trained with Eric, you know how it goes. He'll push you further than you thought you could go, and then he'll show you exactly why it worked. He's challenging, he gets results, and he's been living the ADAPT Way since before most of us knew what it was.

Happy ADAPTiversary, Eric. Thank you for 11 years of showing up for our members, for our team, and for Beaverton.

Drop your favorite Eric moment in the comments. We know you've got one.

Bring a Friend Week is happening now at ADAPT!

This is the perfect opportunity to invite a friend, family member, or coworker to join you for a class and experience the training, coaching, and community that make ADAPT different.

Whether they’ve been wanting to become more active, build strength, or simply find a place where they feel supported, we’d love to welcome them in and help them get started.

Friends can reserve their spot at https://buddyweek.adapttraining.com or by heading to the link in our bio.

And don’t forget: Tomorrow is Anything But a Water Bottle Day! Bring your water in the most creative container you can find—we can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with.

There’s no Fridays with the Founder this week.

Instead, for Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Month, we want to introduce you to Conner.

Conner sustained a C4–C5 spinal cord injury after being thrown headfirst into the ocean floor by a wave. In an instant, he lost movement from his shoulders down.

Six months later, a friend recommended ADAPT.

Nearly 6 years after walking through our doors, Conner’s strength, mobility, and stability have completely changed. He can reach without falling over, recover when he loses his balance, and move through everyday life with greater independence.

Twice a week, he returns to a team that understands his goals, believes in what’s possible, and continues putting in the work alongside him.

As Conner shared, every little bit of mobility makes a difference.

You can help more ADAPT Advanced clients continue working toward their goals by joining our Trainer Challenge.

Now through September 30, donate in honor of an ADAPT trainer or staff member. Whoever raises the most will win a spaghetti dinner for everyone who donated in their name!

Donate at https://helphopelive.org/campaign/27/, then send us proof with the name of the person you’re supporting—or let our front desk know.

Watch Conner’s story, make a donation, and help create more opportunities for progress.

The ADAPT Trainer Challenge is officially on!

Now through September 30, you can support the ADAPT Advanced Scholarship Fund by making a donation in honor of your favorite ADAPT trainer or staff member.

Every donation helps individuals recovering from spinal cord injuries and other complex neurological conditions access the individualized, progressive training they need to keep building strength, independence, and possibility.

To participate, make your donation by clicking here: https://helphopelive.org/campaign/27/ or heading to the link in our bio.

Then either email us proof of payment with the name of the trainer you’re supporting or stop by the front desk and let us know.

The trainer who raises the most money will win a spaghetti dinner with everyone who donated in their name!

We’ll announce the individual spaghetti dinner date for each trainer next week, so keep an eye out and start deciding who you’re supporting.
