As a highly sensitive being you see, feel, process, navigate the world in ways most people don’t. And most support does not acknowledge this nuance.

🍂 🍁 🍃 - the number one regulating force in my life as a highly sensitive being has been re-weaving my relationship with the earth and the cycles of the earth - especially the darker seasons.

Withering leaves, frozen waters, bare landscapes, raging rivers, candlelight on long dark days the way the pattern of the sun changes giving way to longer visits with the moon, the chill contracting temperatures,

In a world where so much “work”, healing and transformation is rooted in fixing and optimizing, rebuilding a relationship with the earth, I came into deep embrace with all the stages of being human - fixing my struggles fell away and transformed into curiosity and creativity.

I started to make relationship with the earth and its cycles a foundational part of the work at Brownswell and it created similar results for those I worked with which inspired Dance with Darkness.

Fall in love with all the parts of you this Fall and Winter. $17 - link in bio ❤️❤️❤️

Fall - your colors, cocoons, and withering gestures are achingly beautiful and clarifying. Thank you for your generous modeling of how to include disintegration into life, the reminder that miracles live even in dark places, my heart beats brighter and wider with your guidance every year 😍😍😍🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

I started Soul Return a few weeks ago, I almost didnt - I have been navigating immense transition since the beginning of the year - including the most basic aspects of life - home, health, finances. I have been packing my bag and heading to new places at least once to three times a month as I re-negotiate dominant ideas of what home and community look like to create a nest that meets my chronic pain and sensitive constitution. I’ve been stretched in ways that would typically require me to pause work things, go inward and keep things simple. Instead this year I have been growing and evolving adding on new layers to life, executing on big dreams. It doesn’t make sense - I’m tired and full at the same time - finding new reservoirs of energy, creativity, as well as grief, anger, and confusion. The energy in our collective is chaotic, and unstable.

In Soul Return we go deeper each week into feeling and remembering that we are the earth, we are ecosystems, not individuals. L

It makes sense - that many things can happen, growth and beauty are possible even as we contract - when we live as the ecosystems we are.

These are Dhalias that were growing well into November last year. The medicine of flowers, soil and cooling days remind me that what’s happening is actually very normal. Remind me of what to keep tending, where to keep my gaze, where to sink in even as chaos ensues.

If you couldn’t make it up in your Soul return I created Dance with Darkness - a collection of of meditations and earth based exercises to learn from Fall and Winter the truth of your power as an ecosystem.

One of the most special offerings I have ever created is back ❤️😭❤️ A journey that is so dear to my heart and has transformed my life and the lives of so many I get the privilege to guide.

A self-directed online course to help us learn to dance with the darkness that is permeating our lives and remember that the darkness is a radiant source of life and power.

I created the material to this course by asking “if we know that we need to heal what keeps us from doing so?” This course is filled with exercises that sincerely help us breakdown the blocks that keep us from identifying and reaching for the support we are desperately needing at this time.

It takes us back to the earth, to our bodies and each other to find portals of possibility in the darkness. It will help you slow down, get off your computer get outside and get supported.
