Congratulations to Team GAP on their second-place finish in the 62nd Williamson Cup at Knickerbocker Country Club.👏⛳️

Seiji Sako of McCall Golf Club carded a 3-under-par 36-hole total to earn co-medalist honors.🏆

The 36-hole competition pits nine state and regional golf associations against one another to determine junior golf supremacy. The three lowest scores from each four-man team will count toward the team’s overall total.

Congratulations to MGC’s very own Seiji Sako for clinching the GAP Harry Hammond Award with his 2nd place performance (-3) at the Jock McKenzie Memorial tournament held at Sandy Run Golf Club on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026!

The Harry Hammond Award is presented to the player with the lowest aggregate score in the qualifying round of the Junior Boys’ Championship, the Christman Cup and the Jock MacKenzie Memorial.

Seiji Sako claimed the Harry Hammond with a 54-hole total of 3-under-par 210. The event was shortened due to weather. The Christman Cup comprising half of the rounds was reduced to an 18-hole event. He fired a 74 in qualifying for the 112th Junior Boys’ Championship at Chester Valley, a 67 that won him the Christman Cup at RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve. His round of 69 at Sandy Run gave him a three-shot victory over Lannon Boyd of Overbrook Golf Club and Colby Komancheck of RiverCrest.
