Worms! Worms! Worms! Annual Worm Drive! Every year the number of birds we take in grows and this year was no exception. During peak season we ordered 40,000-60,000 worms each week and in four months, May-August, we spent $4,124 on just worms alone!

Looking for love!

Our resident disabled duck, Kirby, has done a lot of work on himself and has recently decided he is ready for a serious relationship! Since he is disabled, his mate should be a disabled duck as well. Otherwise, poor Kirby would get picked on.

Since there's no such thing as Disabled Ducks Only .com, we took to Facebook to find him a match. If he had his own version of the pina colada song, the chorus would go like this:

"If you like swims in the bathtub,
getting caught in the wheelchair
if you're not into walking,
if you have half a leg,
if you like quacking songs at midnight
in the dark of the house
then I'm the duck that you've looked for,
quack to me and escape!"

Against all odds, we found a match for Kirby! Her name is Pickles, and shes a beautiful disabled pekin. It seems like a match made in heaven!

But, there's one problem.

Pickles lives in Houston, Texas. Kirby isn't into online/long distance relationships, so we thought we would ask you all for help! Is anyone going to be in the Houston area anytime soon? If so, could Pickles perhaps catch a ride with you?
