From the moment she stepped into her preschool dance class at just three years old, Michayla has been a shining light on the dance floor. She joined the competition team at age seven and has spent the last decade growing into a powerful, expressive, and dedicated performer. Throughout her competitive journey, she has been part of numerous award‑winning routines and has earned achievements that reflect her hard work, artistry, and passion for dance.

Beyond the studio, Michayla is an accomplished student and leader. She is a proud member of FBLA – Future Business Leaders of America, where she serves as manager of the school store. She is graduating with High Honors, a testament to her commitment to excellence in everything she does.
Her love for the arts extends into music as well. Michayla is a member of Tri‑M, the Music Honor Society, and is the recipient of the National Chorus Award, recognizing her outstanding dedication and talent.

This fall, Michayla will take the next exciting step in her artistic journey. She has been accepted to New York University’s Tisch School of Drama, where she will study in the prestigious Stella Adler Studio BFA Program. Her future is as bright as her spirit, and we cannot wait to see all she will accomplish.

Gabriela “Gabby” began dancing at age 7, starting in recreational classes and steadily advancing through higher levels with dedication and heart.
In the summer of 2023, she auditioned for our competition team and earned placements on 4 teams, a turning point that sparked tremendous growth.
Over the last three seasons, Gabby has been part of multiple award‑winning routines, and this year she is especially known for her standout featured moment in our acclaimed number “Chandelier.”

This spring, Gabby auditioned for and secured a spot on Utica College’s Dance Team, where she will be attending in the fall majoring in Health Sciences. She has become a positive role model and a true inspiration to our younger dancers, and we are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished.

Gwen began her dance journey at Maria Christina’s School of Dance at just 22 months old and joined the competition team at age 7. Over the years, she has been a dedicated and passionate member of the MCSD family, earning numerous awards and honors with her teams. Gwen has also been recognized for her stunning solo work, receiving many overall awards for her artistry and performance quality.

Four years ago, Gwen discovered another creative passion when she began designing many of our studio T‑shirts, including our annual production shirt. Her eye for detail, bold creativity, and natural design instincts quickly became an essential part of our studio’s visual identity.

Gwen will graduate from New Hartford High School and, this fall, will attend MVCC on a FULL ART SCHOLARSHIP. She will be pursuing a dual major in graphic design and photography as she continues to grow her artistic voice both inside and outside the studio.

Makayla began dancing when she was just 3 years old under the training of Melissa Swald from Dance Etc. At 8 years old, Makayla began her journey with MCSD and has been a member of the competition team for 8 seasons.

Makayla will be graduating from Central Valley Academy in June 2026, closing out a high school career defined by dedication, talent, and a clear passion for the beauty industry. While attending CVA, she successfully completed a two‑year Cosmetology program through BOCES, where she consistently demonstrated strong skill, professionalism, and drive.

Her commitment to her craft led her to compete in the SkillsUSA Regional Competition in the Cosmetology Division, where she earned an impressive 2nd Place finish. Makayla then advanced to the New York State SkillsUSA Competition, proudly representing her region at the state level.

After graduation, Makayla plans to obtain her New York State Cosmetology License and begin her career in the beauty industry. She also intends to further her education by pursuing certifications in both Massage Therapy and Esthetics, continuing to expand her expertise and future opportunities.
