Please help us make our 3rd DSC food drive an incredible success! You can drop off donations from Oct. 17 – 25, 2026, to benefit the American Legion Post 351 and Trinity Lutheran’s Veterans’ and Community Food Pantry. Collection boxes are in the DSC Clubhouse, Sh***un and Sporting Clays Buildings Sunday, Oct. 25. A contactless collection will run 12 - 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in the DSC parking lot.

Looking for NRA Basic Pistol and Personal Protection Training?
The Detroit Sportsmen’s Congress, located at 48900 Dequindre Road, Shelby Township, MI 48317, is offering a class this December. Call 586-739-3500 for more information.
This combination course is designed for beginners and people with little or no fi****ms training. Instruction also addresses the needs and concerns of women.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• Handgun knowledge and safe handling
• Am******on, secure storage, cleaning, and child safety
• Shooting fundamentals and practical range exercises
• Fi****ms law, including CPL certification
• Basic pistol skills and principles of personal protection in the home

The five-week course schedule is:
• December 12, 2026: Basic Pistol 1 & 2, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Detroit Sportsmen’s Congress Clubhouse
• December 14, 15, and 21, 2026: CPL class, 7:00–10:30 p.m.
