Simone has been skating with us since her first year at Davis, and has been our PR Manager for the past three seasons! Talking about myself in the third person is odd, but I’m so grateful for this team and sport that have brought me my closest friends—wouldn’t change it for the world!

Sarah joined our team last year and quickly became indispensable to all our skaters. She’s not only acted as our Treasurer this past season, but as our unofficial team coach! Sarah is always up for a challenge and has sacrificed so much to be there for each and every one of us!

Major: Psychology
Minor: Communications
Post-Grad Plans: Graduate school for her Masters and eventually dual licensure in marriage and family therapy, as well as a licensed professional counseling clinician with a focus on child and adolescent development!
Favorite Skating Memory: Making her closest friends at Davis from skating!

April has skated with us since her first year at Davis and served as our VP for two years and our President this season! April’s commitment to the sport of figure skating is matched only by her commitment to running our team. She’s a USFS gold medalist in Moves in the Field and a gold medal president in our hearts!

Major: Animal Science with a concentration in companion animals
Post-Grad Plans: Taking a gap year before veterinary school!
Favorite Skating Memory: Seeing Casa Bonita in Denver and finding out she medaled after leaving the rink early (also in Denver)!

Emily has been a true inspiration to all our team members in her time at Davis. During her time as our president in undergrad, Emily uplifted spirits and was a constant source of light and positivity. We were ecstatic to have her back during her graduate program and are so proud of all she has accomplished!

Vanessa’s been a pillar of our team for five years, including two seasons of presidency where she helped us become an official sport club here at Davis! Vanessa is ending her collegiate career with 7 medals across Free Skate, Pattern Dance, and Free Dance! We’re so grateful for all her hard work during her time on the team!

Post-Grad Plans: Working full-time as a project engineer in San Diego!
Favorite Skating Memory: Skating to music from her favorite video games Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail!

After taking a hiatus from skating, Vivian has made a huge impact on our team! In one season with us she’s managed to win the hearts of all our skaters! We’re so glad she chose to come back to the sport with our team at UC Davis!

Major: Animal Science
Post-Grad Plans: Working as a vet tech back home in Arizona, complete some service work, spend time with family, and travel! Vivian also plans on attending veterinary school!
Favorite Skating Memory: Early morning holiday show rehearsals and goofing off on the ice!

We’re kicking off our Senior Spotlights this year with the amazing Madisen! Madisen is an incredible teammate on and off the ice, and has taken initiative as our team photographer!
