Our 2nd annual Dancers Against Cancer benefit show, Celebrate Hope, is happening in just a few weeks. We are thrilled to have and joining us this year.

With Miss Rebecca's passing, we weren't sure if this was the right thing to do this year but we decided that we would do it in celebration of her. She would have wanted us to keep dancing so that's exactly what we're going to do.

What do you say about a woman as deeply loved as Miss Rebecca? Nothing feels adequate.

For the last decade, the Elevate family has been lucky enough to have Miss Rebecca pour into so many of our lives. From our tiniest dancers to our adults, the number of dancers she taught over the last 10 years would be hard to count and the number of lives she impacted is definitely impossible to determine. She was everyone's cheerleader and a shining presence everywhere she went even in the midst of everything she faced during her 5 year cancer fight. Rebecca fought with grace and strength every single day.

So many of our hearts are hurting as we feel an emptiness without her here. Putting on our annual recital this weekend without her was hard but everyone performed beautifully in her honor because she taught us all that we can do hard things. She displayed that so beautifully every day.

The studio will feel different without her in it. It already does. She had her hands in every part of it. But she will never be forgotten because of the impact she made on so many of us. We will talk about her often, we will smile at the memories, and we will pass on her wisdom.
