Vacaville Grappling Academy
We specialize in no-gi Jiu Jitsu and submission grappling training.
This week for the standing situation weāre working on continuous connections.
Start by hand fighting to head and elbow position. Once you get a closed hand connection around the leg, head, or hips, continuously switch between the three. š¤¼
Hereās Miguel and Christian. Christian is in his 40s. He trained for 60 minutes. 12 of those minutes was in the stand up situation.

Wednesday Night Foundations and all levels
Working inside leg position w/Ryan at youth practice š¤¼
We just started a youth group on Skool. This is for parents and youth members at Vacaville Grappling Academy.
This a great platform to stay informed with your teammates but more importantly, a place where beginners and experienced athletes can learn and understand our culture and continue to learn.
If you would like to know more, check out the Skool link in the bio š«”
We focus heavily on problem solving at practice and it showed here.
Sam was down 5-0 and reverse mounted. Calmly and collectively she problem solved her way to a win with little guidance from me.
I told Sam to keep her opponentās head and arm trapped between her legs. While she had the head/arm, I told her to look for her opponentās wrist and elbow for a figure 4 grip. She did all of that and got the win!
Details. I searched in bjjfanatics āarm lockā and over 300 results appeared. Are there over 300 details on how to do arm locks?
Start in the position, keep something behind your opponentās elbow, and stay connected to their shoulder. Youāll achieve arm locks without memorizing 300 ādetailsā š¤·š»āāļø
