Q: What’s your name and how long have you been training at DJK Fitness?
Regina: August 2025
Max: August 2025
Q: What got you started on your fitness journey?
Regina: Wanting to build strength to help with joint pain from having hypermobility
Max: Regina suggested your gym, combined with getting older and not wanting to fall down a path of being unhealthy.
Q: What’s your favorite workout or lift?
Regina: Currently loving barbell chest press
Max: Anything that targets the core/abs. Also I really like pull-ups.
Q: What keeps you motivated to show up on hard days?
Regina: How I feel after the workout
Max: I love getting a good working out, so for me it’s always easy to show up.
Q: What advice would you give someone just starting out?
Regina: You’re stronger and more capable than you think
Max: Stick with it. Don’t expect results by tomorrow. Showing up consistently WILL be effective, give it time. As long as you’re pushing yourself every time.
Q: If you could only listen to one song during a workout, what would it be?
Regina: That’s a hard one , 90’s hiphop anything
Max: “Guerrilla Radio” or “Killing in the Name” by Rage against the Machine
Q: What do you like to do outside of the gym? (hobbies, family, work, etc?)
Regina: Attend concerts, Ride horses , be near the water
Max: I like playing golf and chess a lot. I enjoy watching my kids play sports, going on dates with Regina.

Regina: Patience

•How long have you been training at DJK Fitness?
Since July 2025 and haven’t looked back!
•What got you started on your fitness journey?
My husband and I started strength training in college years ago. Then life happened, motherhood happened, but now I’m back in it for good! I just want to feel healthier and stronger both mentally and physically.
•What’s your favorite workout or lift?
Unpopular opinion, but I’d say Bulgarian Split Squats are my favorite lift! (My legs will probably regret sharing this.)
•What keeps you motivated to show up on hard days?
On tough days, I show up to the gym because staying strong and healthy helps me keep up with life and be the kind of mom who can do it all for the long haul.
•What advice would you give someone just starting out?
Start where you are, keep moving, and celebrate every small win. Progress comes one workout at a time.
•If you could only listen to one song during a workout, what would it be?
It would probably be “Downfall Of Us All” by A Day To Remember, or anything by Underoath.
•What do you like to do outside of the gym?
Hang with my family and friends, and bake cookies.
•One word to describe your fitness journey at DJK Fitness?
Tenacious
