Valparaiso Half Marathon

During a 90 minute post Valpo Half mediation run at Sunset, I had a moment to reflect on the Day and how thankful I am for the support for the Valparaiso Half Marathon.

We had close to 350 registered participants and 311 finishers today. There were well over 75 volunteers on the course cheering on those runners. The Unitedway of Porter County recruited many High School students from the area. Kudos to those young people for supporting an early morning event on their Sunday morning.

In addition, many of the area runners took time to cheer on their fellow runners.

It is always amazing how many people step up to these types of events from the cyclists, Porter County Sheriff's Department, to the DJs on the course and at the finish line.

The staff and the staff went above and beyond today....thank you for being a dedicated team.

Everyone making this happen in Northwest Indiana.
