Missing the caves so bad!

I want to put together a rescue and above "refresher" course for all Texas and nearby area divers. We have seen many scuba related accidents in the last few years that have bothered us all. I am still in the planning stages for this event, but it would be a cheap to free event. The idea would be a decentralized rescue scenario event that would brush us all up on our rescue procedures. I don't want this to become something based on this agency or this dive shop. It would be going through rescue scenarios and collectively debriefing afterwards to help us all improve our readiness. I can provide training medical O2 cylinders, bandages, etc. I would like to see this become an annual event to sharpen all our skills before the training season begins, and hopefully other divers in other parts of the country/world will follow suit. Scenarios I have in mind would cover everything from jellyfish stings to AGE. Please feel free to reach out to me if you are interested or have suggestions!

Made a stupid mistake in this cave. I debated on whether or not to share it, but in the end if this helps another cave diver avoid making the same mistake it might save their life.

It's been an amazing 2 weeks of cave diving in Florida! Dean Wou and Briton Whitfield were amazing dive buddies. Diving with me isn't always easy and I can definitely be a little on the stubborn side, but these guys put up with me and only give constructive feedback. I am blessed to count them as friends. I promised video and I will start posting those when I get home and have some faster internet. I will probably start with the dive where Briton got stuck and I silted the place out turning around. That was a spicy dive! Little River is now my new favorite Florida cave. What a beautiful system! I'm so tired I can barely think, so I am going to hit the sack early and start the long drive home tomorrow.
