Last night was one of those nights at the racetrack that you just hate to see. 💔 There were horrible wrecks and injuries throughout several classes, and unfortunately, we weren’t spared.

Coming out of turn 4, Evan went straight into the wall. The brand-new car is pretty much destroyed. 😭 At first I thought he was okay… until he opened the door and slid out onto the ground. Talk about a heart-dropping moment. I’m thinking I need to start running and training during the week just so I can get to him faster when something like this happens. 😅😭

Thankfully, he’s okay. 🙏🏼 He hurt his leg/knee and is definitely sore today—as you would expect after hitting a wall head-on—but he’s able to walk (with a limp) and nothing appears to be too serious. We’re incredibly thankful because we know it could have been so much worse.

We appreciate every single person who checked on Evan, came by to see how he was doing, or immediately offered to help with the car. Racing really is a family. ❤️

Two cars completely torn up in a month’s time hurts. 😭 At this point, we honestly don’t know if we’ll rebuild and finish out the season or just call it a year. We’ll figure that part out once the dust settles.

Most importantly, please keep the go-kart driver who was injured last night in your prayers, along with our race official, Dawson Keener, who was also injured. There were a lot of scary moments last night, and we’re praying for healing for everyone involved. 🙏🏼

Cars can be replaced. These people can’t. ❤️

🏁 P6 FINISH FOR EVAN JOHNSON RACING! 🏁

Another solid night behind the wheel of the Pro Truck for Evan! 💙💛

Evan qualified 8th out of 12 and battled his way to a 6th-place finish tonight! This was only his SECOND race in a truck and on a big track, and we couldn’t be more proud of the grit, determination, and drive he continues to show.

At just 12 years old, he’s learning, gaining confidence, and making improvements every single time he gets behind the wheel—and that’s all we can ask for. Every lap is experience. Every race is progress. 💪

We are so proud of our #66 and excited to see where this journey takes him. This kid has a bright future ahead! 🏁

Thank you to everyone who continues to support, encourage, and cheer Evan on. It means more than you know! And the veteran drivers coming over to chat with him and tell him what a good job he’s doing is just top notch! 💙

BUILT FROM THE GROUND UP. 🏁💙💛

We are SO excited to introduce Evan’s new Legend Car and color scheme! 🏎️🔥

This car is more than just a race car. It’s a 3-day labor of love, completely built from the ground up by Evan’s dad, our crew chief, and the man who pours everything he has into helping his boy chase this dream.

There is absolutely no doubt that our crew chief is THE BEST. He works, builds, fixes, sacrifices, worries, celebrates, and gives 110% every single time. He’s not going to let his boy down. ❤️

Evan is incredibly blessed to have a dad who believes in him, works beside him, and will do whatever it takes to put him in the best car possible.

These pictures really put last night’s wreck into perspective. 💔

Looking at them now, it’s hard to believe just how lucky and blessed we are that Evan walked away without serious injury.

When he went airborne and hit the fence, the pole he struck bent the frame right above his head. Just a few inches different, and that pole could have hit him directly in the top of his head. It’s a thought I don’t even want to entertain.

As scary as racing can be, moments like this remind us why safety equipment is so important. His helmet, neck restraint, seat, belts, and every piece of safety equipment did exactly what they were designed to do—and last night, they mattered more than ever.

We are incredibly thankful for the people who build these cars, the safety equipment that protects our drivers, and most of all, for God watching over our boy. 🙏🏼

Nights like this remind us just how incredibly blessed we are to get to bring him home. ❤️🏁

Today, we’re counting our blessings. And that’s more than enough. 🙏🏼
