It has been such a busy summer, that I just realized we had not posted the Olympia Dragon Boat Festival race results, event that took place on July 11, 2026.

Our Catch-22 crews delivered some fantastic racing, with three 2nd-place finishes and some incredibly tight battles at the finish line!

🥈 Catch-22 Hurricane — 2nd, Mixed A Final — 1:06.99, just 0.20 seconds behind first place!

🥈 Catch-22 Tsunami — 2nd, Women A Final — 1:14.25, only 0.43 seconds separated Tsunami from the win!

🔥 Catch-22 Monsoon — 4th, Women A Final — 1:15.07, a strong showing in a competitive A Final—and just 0.82 seconds behind Tsunami!

🥈 Catch-22 Storm — 2nd, Women F Final — 1:20.62, just 0.08 seconds from first place!

Three silver finishes. Four crews giving it everything. And some seriously close racing!

Congratulations to all our Catch-22 paddlers, steers, drummers, coaches, and supporters. Way to represent and leave it all on the water! 💪🐉❤️

Paddles up, Catch-22!

What a weekend at the 2026 Vancouver Island Dragon Boat Festival, July 25-26, 2026.

Catch-22 Tsunami, Monsoon, and Hurricane delivered strong performances across every distance, earning a combined 14 first-place finishes. Hurricane swept all seven events, Monsoon won the 1500 m Ovals, 200 m, and 100 m races, and Tsunami earned four first-place finishes along with two strong second-place results.

Proud of the teamwork, determination, and spirit shown by all three crews. One club. Three crews. Countless memories. Catch-22 proud!
