🏁 Race #2 Recap 🏁
Back at it for race number two this weekend — repaired car, borrowed shocks, and hoping to rebound from the rough opener.
Huge thanks to longtime BRW crewman Troy for making his return to South Sound Speedway to help out this weekend. Awesome having him back at the track.
We unloaded unsure where the setup would be after the last race, but the car felt really solid in practice — stable, smooth, and even a little free.
Then qualifying came around and the car absolutely came alive. Laid down a 14.16 to put us P1 ahead of the always-fast #72 of Secord and #17 of Jones. Definitely a huge confidence boost.
🔥 Heat Race • Started 4th and brought it home 3rd behind the #17 and #72 after the car got really loose late in the race.
🏁 Main Event • Made a few adjustments before the feature, but looking back, I over-adjusted and I simply didn’t do a good enough job as the driver. Didn’t get a great start, was too tentative early, and by the time I got going the leaders were gone.
Disappointed in the result, but we learned a lot and we’ll come back better next race.
Special thanks to: Scott, Mike & Joe Beaudoin, Joe Bowers, and Chuck LaHorgue.
Huge thank you to everyone helping make this possible and supporting this team.

First Race Recap
Racing is a rollercoaster of good and bad days. Race #1 for 2026 was the latter. We started the day in practice, shaking off the rust and giving the new engine its first laps.
The first few laps went well, but we soon discovered an issue that would delay the day. We had two options: not racing or Scott making a quick parts trip to Vancouver to address the problem. We chose the latter.
Scott returned, the issue was resolved, and we were just in time for the main event. I started in the back because I missed qualifying and the heat race. I was excited to see how the winter of changes would affect the car. Unfortunately, contact occurred on lap 3 while lapping a slower car, ending our night. It was frustrating at the time, but these things happen. I’m excited about how fast the car will be once we get some luck.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to Scott and Mike for all the extra work and time they spent getting the new engine dialed in so that I could make it to the track for the first race.
I wouldn’t be racing without the overwhelming generosity of many people who want to see me succeed.
Thank you, Scott, Mike, and Joe Beaudoin, Joe Bowers, Chuck LaHorgue, Nick Durfey.
