It will also touch on the potential negative impacts (e.g. exercise dependence, body dissatisfaction) and provide tips on how to engage participants with common mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety.

Delivered over zoom, you only need a device and WiFi to connect with us, and everyone in the Schwinn family is welcome.

May 8th - 10:00-12:00 Online in English

This workshop is focused on explaining how we can obtain the maximum performance from our students in indoor cycling sessions based on concrete data.

An indirect and subjective way of knowing the intensity of work is the subjective perception of effort (Borg scale).

Another direct and objective way is to know the internal load from the working heart rate used during the class.

And another objective and direct way to know the external load is the amount of watts used.

But, do we know what it means to work at a certain amount of watts?

Do we know what direct relationship there is between heart rate and watts?

How to ensure that the work load is correct and how to use the information regarding the watts correctly?

For 90 minutes we will talk about these three ways of accounting for the work load in our sessions, understand when it is better to use one or the other, know how we can unify the three values to optimize the work of our students and learn how we should build the different moments of any lesson if we want to work using the watts as an intensity control parameter.

In order to find the answer of the question “Why and how we use watts in our indoor cycling lessons?” the content of the workshop will be

1. Internal and external load

2. Subjective perception of effort (Borg scale)

3. Heart rate

4. Watts

5. Which parameter is the most useful in our sessions?

6. How to unify the three parameters to maximize the result?

7. How to create sessions correctly using the "watts" parameter?

In the market is possible to find a lot of indoor cycling trends and, as an indoor cycling instructor, you have to know and explain the main goals of each one. And the most important: are these trends safety, usefull and good for your clients?
This workshop is focused on explaining why Schwinn cycling doesn’t use push ups, dumbbells, choreography on the handle bar and other stuffs that you can see on Social Media.
Is a good idea to increase your strength with dumbells when you are cycling? Is it possible to increase your aerobic threshold when you are doing a choreography on the handle bar? Are the push ups a good option or maybe is not a good idea for your back?
In this workshop we will work the following content:
1. Indoor cycling trends
2. Exemples of different exercises that you can find on the indoor cycling market
3. How to really increase your strength? What is the minimum load that you need?
4. Basic back biomechanics
5. What happens when you ride so fast or so slow? Talk about Nervous System and joints.
6. The right recommendations: fun, safe, healthy and effective work!

This workshop consists of exploring the elements of music to consider to create the perfect musical set for each type of session.
For 90 minutes we will work on the elements of music that will help us connect better with our students.
If we are able to anticipate the effect that music has on our audience, we can better manage our classes to achieve the goal.
Beyond the structure of music itself, it must be understood that it produces an emotional response on people.
In order to find the answer of the question “What is the best music to use in our sessions?” the content of the workshop will be
1. Emotional and physiological response to musical stimulation.
2. Tempo, rhythm, melody and harmony as elements to use to create the perfect musical set.
