Hello everyone! It has been a while but we finally have a plan. The memorial race will be September 19th. We will run the full memorial race and then we will run the bmain and feature for the Friday event that rained out. The memorial show is open to all new cars that want to join, but the makeup show will only be for the ones that already attempted to qualify/qualified. If drivers don't show that were locked in to the A, we will take more cars from the Bmain.
I had to create a new event since the old one was beyond the date.
TUFF NUFF Racing #662
I am a paralyzed veteran who went all in and bought a dirt track car and started racing.
As y'all know I suffered a compression fracture back in july. I sit here today worried about the appointment 24 hours from now to find out what happens from there. I want nothing more than to be back in the car, yet I also dont want to make my existing condition any worse than it is. The one thing that bothers me the most is . The fact that my hand throttle rig was not giving me 100% full throttle at the stivason Memorial race on the 3rd of july. I have since worked on and tuned the hand control to achieve the 100% wide open and have not yet been able to test it. I am praying for a non-invasive resolution to the compression fracture. I will have updates upon the racing status at some point tomorrow.
I knew I hurt something back at the beginning of the month. I just found out today that I have a compression fracture at the L2 level of my vertebrae. So the TLSO brace will be the new fashion for a while.

Other that the weather not being race friendly.my physical health aka. Spinal cord injury. Has decided that it wants to be rather race unfriendly also. For as much as I hate the turtle shell. It offers support to the skeletal structure and eases the pain. I am looking forward to getting the Tuff Nuff Racing #662 rig back on the track soon. Odds are good that this damn shell is going to be under the fire suit to ease the compression from the harnesses. Thank you to Ed's Tire and Auto Service, BSBS Allegheny Township, Minor Brothers Tattoo and Timemachine, Four Brothers , The Paralyzed Veterans of America, Racing for Resilience and Johnny Carpet. We will be back soon and look forward to putting down some laps.

A couple weeks back I got tangled up in a mess at Blanket Hill Speedway. Josh Prymak caught an excellent photo of me being towed off the track. There is so much being said in this photo, not to mention what was going through my mind. I was happy that the car was working and I was getting up in the mix. I was bummed that I got tangled up and couldn't finish the race. Thats what it is though, racing is hard on the cars and the drivers just the same. We love the sport and the cars we drive. I cant tell you the hours per week I spend on that car. I can tell you that when I hit the setup and the car drives, it drives great . Nuts and bolts weekly after the wash , every now and then it goes on the scales just to make sure nothing has changed between races. It is dedication and discipline to make sure our equipment is right between races and it is pride in what we put on the tracks for you the fans . I had to share this picture because the story it tells is endless. Thanks again Josh for the permission to use this photo for this post.

Here is a story about why we are Tuff Nuff Racing #662. You see Tuff Nuff is my service guy, around 3 years ago he saved me from drowning, in the Allegheny river when our fishing boat got away from us at a boat launch.mind you, he was in the pick up truck and the windows were up when I went swimming after the boat. He saw I was in the river and somehow managed to put a window down and swim to my rescue. He had never swam in deep water in his life. His birthday is June 6 2020, hence the number on the car. As for myself, I was never to get out of a wheelchair after an accident when I had just turned 41. My recovery to date has been the same attitude as the name of my German shepard. Tough Enough to conquer the obstacles that stood before us when it mattered the most. This is why we are Tuff Nuff Racing #662. Thank you for the read Brendan.
No racing this passed weekend due to my back injury and waiting on results from the doctors. I am hoping to get some racing in this coming weekend .

Weekend recap. I had a great car Friday night, I started the heat race p8 and finished p6 Friday 7/3. Unfortunately the weather moved in and they called the show. The hand throttle has been a huge help in the car. I have a fair amount of fine tuning to do with that system. As it goes now I can not get full throttle due to the way it is in the car. If I turn too far it binds the cable and revs the car. I am working on a gyro system to eliminate the binding of the throttle cable. Thank you to those following the page and to my sponsors, Johnny Carpet ,'sTire and Auto Service, Paralyzed Veterans of America,Four Brothers, Brothers Tattoo and Timemachine, Brandon Lott , BSB's Allegheny Township, Pa. Lets keep this train rolling and enjoy the ride 😎

Well, the weather won the weekend and part of me is very glad after last evening. The car was great it was me that got broken somewhere between the heats and the B mains. I dont know what but do know the pain is at an almost intolerant level. I pray this passes and I can get back to moving around . It took every ounce of me to get loaded up and home last night. I crawled from my truck to the house because it hurt so bad to stand up.
