OUR FIRST GAME IS AT HOME, SO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS: ADOPT YOUR GAME!

We need everyone’s help to make our home games run smoothly! Every family is expected to volunteer during the home games. Duties may include:

• Concessions
• Chain crew
• Scoreboard
• 50/50 raffle

Please check the available spots before signing up and choose a position that is still open.

A sign-in sheet will be available to track participation. Please remember that if assigned volunteer duties are not completed, VYF reserves the right to retain the equipment deposit.

It takes everyone working together to keep our program strong, organized, and affordable.

Good morning! Happy First Game Week!

🏈Youth Varsity coaches needed to change their practice this week to Friday instead of Wednesday.

This week practice schedule:

➡️Varsity- Tuesday, Thursday, Friday.

➡️Freshman and JV- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

➡️Cheer and Flag- Tuesday and Thursday

THERE IS NO PRACTICE TODAY.

Practices will be Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week for tackle football.

Cheer and Flag will practice Tuesday and Thursday.

🏈First game is HOME Saturday against Almont🏈

Reminder!!

It’s Youth Night!! Please be to the Vassar High School field by 6:15pm. JV Football- please bring your FULL UNIFORM; pads, helmet, cleats, game pants, the whole shabang! JV football parents, if your kid cannot attend tonight, PLEASE LET US KNOW!

Can’t wait to see you all tonight!

Cheerleaders: there will be NO TUMBLING due to the wet conditions as a safety concern. This is extremely unfortunate but we don’t need any broken necks due to wet, slippery grass.

Also remember, parents get in free tonight! Students are $1 I believe (haven’t confirmed that), and other adult family members are $5/each.

🏈Vassar Vulcan YOUTH NIGHT🏈

🤍September 3rd is our Youth Night at the Vassar Varsity Game. All our youth kids will be announced individually before the game and will then make the tunnel for the Vassar Varsity team to run onto the field. The youth cheerleaders will cheer with the high school cheerleaders. During halftime, our Youth JV will scrimmage each other, 11 on 11, for 10 minutes. The cheerleaders will cheer on our JV boys during halftime and then we will exit the track. We hope everyone can stay to support our High School Varsity team for the remainder of the game but we understand that not everyone will be able.

⏰Arrival: 6:15pm
📣Roster Announced: 6:40pm
🖤Tunnel: 6:55pm
🏈Game start: 7:00pm
🤍Finished: After halftime

🚨We will need to know how many kids will be in attendance, especially the JV football players. We need ALL JV football players to be able to play 11 on 11.

Happy Scrimmage Day!!

Reminder: Please be there on time so we can get the jerseys handed out and ready for weigh ins!

🏈Arrival - 9:15
🏈Weight in- 10:00
🏈Scrimmage- 11:00

Please wear your game pants and jersey; if you do not have a personalized jersey, your coach will have one for you today! You can wear whatever socks you want today!

Varsity and JV parents- bring a lawn chair! There are no bleachers where the boys will scrimmage. Freshman parents, we will be on the high school football field WITH bleachers!
