Thanks to "The Cheapskates," the very first outdoor roller skating rental & sales business, the rebirth of roller skating began. Yes...history!

In the summer of 1979 we opened on the Venice boardwalk in Southern California and the rest is history. The Cheapskates started 35 years ago, out of the back of a delivery truck on the Venice Boardwalk, and was the very first outdoor skate rental shop in the world. Even then we were inovative with our approach and ideas to the quad-skater. We are back, and we look forward to hearing from the new generation of skaters, whether, indoor or outdoor, we are here for you!
