How to progress in the gym if we canโt go heavier?
Unfortunately we canโt add 10 pounds to our benchpress and deadlift week after week for years, BUT here are other approaches to progress:
โ๏ธ Increase Reps
โ๏ธAdd extra sets
โ๏ธBetter form while lifting
โ๏ธSlower reps
โ๏ธSame workout done faster
โ๏ธPerforming exercises with rest stops
The list goes on and on, just make sure you leave the workout better in some form ๐จ๐ผโ๐ซ

So many people are reaching out again to train now that gyms are open again. Keep in mind though if you really took over a year off from training you canโt get back and expect the same performance you had.
Ease back into it and work your way back up to where you were pre pandemic. Results you had will come back quickly ๐ช๐ผ

Currently only working out 4 days instead of 6-7 times a week because i have to commute to the gym now. Feels weird too have so many off days but joints are happy ๐

Training with masks on ๐จ๐ผโ๐ซ
Many gyms now have a mandatory face mask regulation. My gym is one of them. For me i found out that if i train with a bandana on i feel like i can breathe like 80% normal while i only feel like i get 40-50% max if train with the regular face mask.
So if you have a problem breathing in the gym with masks try bandanas instead.
Obviously avoid any kind of cardio while wearing face covering if you care about your lungs.
For me it made a big difference!!

to the year 1135 when i made sure i get my water in before slaying that big ass dragon. Could i have done it dehydrated? I donโt know probably not, i definitely wasnโt willing to try out. ๐จ๐ผโ๐ซ

I heard a podcast of a while ago, and Joe talked about always working so hard and precise as if someone who you admire or whose opinion is very important to you is constantly watching you through a window. You wonโt do a sh*tty job if important people are watching, so always overdeliver and act like they do.
