Babies can learn how to float before they learn to walk. This is a learned skill that all kids can learn with lots of practice.

Swimming in clothes is hard for little ones. This little guy is working so hard to move in his heavy pajamas. When he needs to rest he rolls to his back to float. Floating gives little kids a safe way to rest in the water.

We practice all of these skills in our survival swim program.

Wow, what an incredible achievement for this little champ! After 4 weeks he completed his clothing swim test with flying colors. He showed us how to float safely in clothes and shoes and made his way to safety.
We teach safety skills to all kids in our initial survival program. Ensuring that kids learn vital safety skills first is so important. It builds their confidence and prepares them for more advanced swimming techniques.
