Rock Steady Boxing was one of key exercises involved in the Multimodal Exercise Study (as pictured!) lead by Cal State Northridge (CSUN) Depart. of Physical Therapy at our EQUILIBRIUM Physical Therapy clinic & Neuro Performance Gym.
Rock Steady Boxing is also one several classes you can take anytime at the Neuro Performance Gym at EQUILIBRIUM!
➡️ What is ROCK STEADY BOXING?
💥 Rock Steady Boxing (RSB) a boxing-inspired fitness program that provides an effective form of physical exercise for people living with Parkinson’s.
💥 RSB has been proven through research to slow disease progression, be neuro-protective, improve gait, balance, and quality of life, while reducing, delaying & even reversing Parkinson’s symptoms.
💥 RSB incorporates a combination of non-contact boxing exercises, functional movements, strength training & cognitive challenges.
💥 RSB involves moving your body in all planes of motion while continuously changing the routine as you progress through the workout. This can improve range of motion, flexibility & coordination.
💥 RSB’s non-contact boxing, HIIT training fitness provides a sense of efficacy, self-worth, plus camaraderie with others who have Parkinson’s.
💥 RSB provides encouragement through a “tough love” approach, inspiring maximum effort, speed, strength, balance & flexibility.

Each day this week we’re highlighting one of the NEURO FITNESS classes offered at NeuroPerformance Gym at Equilibrium Physical Therapy.
We’re starting with our Hallmark program, Rock Steady Boxing – cited in numerous peer-reviewed research articles to be neuro-protective and slow disease progression.
