Contest — Santa Cruz Body Surfing Association

Fellow Bodysurfers,

The South Jetty Swells Bodysurfing Association is at it again.
We will be hosting the first annual Zuma Beach Bodysurfing Classic on Saturday May 18th 2019. (See attached flyer for details and registration information.)

Zuma Beach is known for its powerful beach break and picks up all swell directions. Early forecasts have May looking good for the early season southern hemisphere swells. Please register early to ensure your spot in the event. Due to permit and time constraints we will be limiting the number of competitors to the first 60 men and the first 60 women. Back by popular demand, we will also showcase the next generation of bodysurfers in the famous Grommet division!

There is information on the attached flyer for anyone who wants to register the old fashioned way (just reach out with email and we will send you pdf).

This will also be the first event in the California Bodysurf Tour.
· The California Bodysurf Tour will feature four events with points earned at each event going towards an overall men's and women's champion, and age group champions. Total points to determine champions will be the combination of the top three out of four event scores. Prizes will be awarded at the final event for all champions.

o Event One will be the Zuma Bodysurfing Classic hosted by the South Jetty Swells Bodysurfing Association.

o Event two will be the Huntington Beach Bodysurfing & Handboard Championships hosted by the Chubascos Bodysurfing Association at the beginning of August.

o Event Three will be the world famous California Bodysurfing Championships hosted by the Santa Cruz Bodysurfing Association in October.

o The fourth and final event will be the Ventura Bodysurfing Classic hosted by the South Jetty Swells Bodysurfing Association in December.
