π¨ OCTOBER 24 VENTURA EVENT CANCELED
Thank you to everyone who registered for Eat Sleep Teep Semicontact. We know athletes, coaches, and families put time and preparation into these events.
Our original venue canceled. We secured a replacement, but within days were told that location would likely be unavailable too.
Weβve overcome last-minute venue issues before, but this time it hasnβt come together. We wanted to give everyone a clear answer now so you can adjust your plans.
π³ All registration refunds have already been issued. Please allow 2β3 business days for them to appear in your account.
π₯ NEW OPTION: MUAY THAI SCRIMMAGE
When we return, weβll continue offering our regular semicontact format alongside a new scrimmage option!
WHATβS A SCRIMMAGE?
No declared winner or loser. Both participants receive a feedback form from our judges to help guide their development.
WHY ADD IT?
We want more students to feel comfortable stepping onto the mats, especially KIDS and those without competitive goals.
After hearing from coaches and families about the preparation involved, we want to lower the stakes and make participation more approachable and fun.
Scrimmages still provide experience. If you later move into full-contact competition, disclose your scrimmage participation when reporting experience. Experience is experience.
WHAT GEAR IS REQUIRED?
Chest guards will be mandatory for ALL scrimmage participants: kids, teens, and adults.
Required gear:
β’ Chest guard
β’ Headgear
β’ Gloves
β’ Shin guards
β’ Groin protector for males
β’ Mouthpiece
Scrimmages will be moderated more closely than our regular competitive semicontact format.
Thank you for your patience and support. Weβll share updates on events in the new year and look forward to seeing you back on the mats!
