Watsonville, CA

Nick Leonard Jr made his debut in the Western Midget Racing (WMR) series on Friday night at Watsonville Speedway.

Nick started last in his heat race, but worked his way to the front picking up his first WMR heat race win. He then rolled off third in the main event and brought it home with a solid 4th place finish.

This was Nick’s first race with the Boscacci Racing Team, owned by Tony Boscacci. It was a great night of racing, learned a lot and looking forward to building on this momentum heading into race 2 at Antioch Speedway on Saturday April 4th.

Huge thank you to Tony Boscacci and Anthony Bruno for all their hard work on the car, and to James Vargas and the entire team for all the support.

Wanted to thank the entire Tony Boscacci Racing Team for giving us an opportunity to run a WMR Midget for the first time this past weekend in Ventura, CA. We were able to turn a few laps before having an electrical issue with the car. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get it fixed in time for the main event. Definitely learned a little, had some fun and hope to get another opportunity again in the future.

Thank you to all my sponsors, friends and family who support me along the way.
