Happy gym moment today.

So ever since my surgery and the 6 week break afterwards, I've been working on getting my strength back. I did set a goal of hitting 300 lbs on bench press to know that at least I was back where I was before. I did hit that about a month ago, which was definitely nice, but today I hit an even nicer mile stone.

We went to the gym later than usual, my energy level was dropping and because of the later hour I didn't particularly feel up for a workout. Long story short, the stars didn't seem to line up for the best workout ever, but we went anyway. It was chest day and the bench press went okay, so I kept loading up the bar.

275lbs for 7, 290lbs for 5, which were not all time high numbers, but I figured I would try 315lbs for the first time ever and I was good for 2 reps! Nothing too crazy, but being a lifetime natural, I'm happy with it for now. It definitely made my day!

No, this is not your next popular soup from a secret family recipe or at least it shouldn't be. This is how much fat I drain from 5lbs of 93% lean ground turkey every time I cook it. Last time I got distracted and forgot to do so. The difference was painfully noticable, but at least it did remind me to put it out there how much even 7% fat can be. Banana for scale๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ˜„ If you still can't tell, worry not! I measured it and it's exactly 2 full cups.
