It’s that time of year, we’re getting geared up for Battle of the Basin 2025! Share this with your team, registration opens in August!

We had an amazing weekend and hope you all did as well. The Championship game between Silver Savants and The Blizzard came down to the wire with an overtime and eventually a shootout. Silver Savants took the shootout and won the cup, with the Blizzard coming in second place. Altitude won third in the consolation game with Hockeystopz fourth. Thanks to all the players, and fans coming out to support the tournament!

We’re all setup this morning, here’s the full raffle lineup along with a Hockeystopz hat signed by Spicy Tuna (Liam O’Brien) of the Utah NHL team which was donated by Hockeystopz. Hope to see you all here today!

What an awesome game to kick off the Battle of the Basin tonight. Great Job Savants, and Altitude! Raffles will be put out in the morning, here are a few of the raffles we’ve got. Huge thanks to Minky Couture, Vernal Adventure Center, and Touch of Grace Quilting Co for donating for the raffles! There are several more games to come Saturday and Sunday, come out and cheer on these weekend warriors! It’s free to come watch at Western Park Ice Rink.

Tomorrow we kick off the Battle of The Basin Adult Hockey Tournament 2024. Here’s the schedule for the tournament. Stop by and check out our raffles as well we have some really good stuff this year. We’ll be posting several of the raffles tomorrow!

We’re back in the saddle again! The Battle of the Basin tournament is set for the weekend of November 22-24 this year. More details will be posted soon. leave us a comment or send us a message if you have any questions.

Hey everyone, we’ve been watching the progress of the rink but with the seasonal close of the rink approaching on March 18th and no deadline in sight for the completion of the locker rooms we won’t be able to hold Battle of the Basin this year unfortunately. We’re hoping to get things rolling again next year. We’ve had a lot of interest this year, and we appreciate everyone who has asked for updates and expressed interest in bringing out a team to play. We hope to see you for next season, and we’re excited to play again!

Drop in hockey is starting back up in Vernal. Currently we are playing Tuesday Nights at 7pm. Construction is still ongoing at the rink, but they’ve allowed for drop in to start. Check out the Vernal Adult Hockey League page for updates on drop in and times. Get on those skates, and get practiced up. We are still hoping to get some times and dates set aside for a tournament once construction is all finished up.
