Half a dozen Screaming Banshees fresh off the vise this morning. They'll be hitching the rail for Washington.
Further enabling art to meet practicality.

Wasatch Fly Expo 2026 is in the books. I had a good time with great friends. Unfortunately, Joseph left before we could snag our annual photo together. We have so much fun chatting with our friends each year that stop by all three of our tables. I just wanted to say thanks if you are one of them, it is the highlight of this season.
I had the distinct pleasure of getting to tie some dries and even wet flies (which are new to me) with some friends. Jim spent some time cursing... well... just about everything I own 😂
If you stopped in, I hope you had a great time.🤙

Idaho Expo 2026 was a good time. I met some new friends, caught up with some old ones and share some good times with the homies & .
I'm excited for what this Expo has inspired on my vise. It's going to be a good year.

In the world of more, complexity, drama, stress, cortisol, news headlines, and politics, take a kid fishing.
I can't wait to get out with my own this year. I'll be kicking it back to simplicity and all things good, I hope you will too.

I've been turning out more flies lately for awesome people like this. Let me know if I can turn something out for you.

When your 8-year-old wants to stay up till midnight and tie flies with you, you hook him up.
I gave him a few options of some kits I had materials and instructions for from old mailers. He chose a Chernobyl Ant pattern and got after it following the directions while I filled orders. I was pretty proud of his first ever dry fly attempts, completely solo (I'll admit I tied them off, but thats it).

The Boy's Fishing Trip is something I look forward to every year. Usually, its filled with a non-stop pursuit of trout. This year was different.
We spent a ton of time relaxing at a base camp, something we've seldom cared about. It was great to catch up with the best guys I know around a campfire. It's just an added bonus to chase some trout at the same time.
I could care less for the number of fish we caught and didn't really spend the time to take many photos except for one very funny white fish incident and one beautiful brook trout. Otherwise, the time was spent just being present (a change I've been striving for).
I'll sit around a tree stump table and tie flies or shoot the breeze around a campfire with these guys any day.
