Had a moment to get out to the shop, should be a bit more consistent coming up!

Been MIA again, this summer has been a busy one. I recently switched over to a dream job with Trout Unlimited, built some shelves for my house, tried to keep up on my garden, not much time for knives recently. I’ll get back out in the shop soon, but for now I’m loving life as it is

Second grinder build is underway! I recently acquired an old clapped out table saw with a solid motor. More photos to come!

Made a knife for a good friends birthday, turned out better than I was expecting! Ground thin for extra sliceability. 1095 with home stabilized curly maple.

Plenty of work to be had, started a new project while all my others stare at me. One day I’ll finish a knife again…

I have been having one hell of a season, so I haven’t been able to be in the shop lately. However, I did have the chance to make a ring for one of my best buddy’s wedding. I’ve never made a ring, so I got the chance to make two! Because he gave me the wrong size right as I finished the first. Thanks for the extra….learning experience. Either way, I had a lot of fun making this!

Finished this hunting knife for my wonderful dog trainer. Deej has made my pup Hue such a good boy and I owe her my complete sanity. The knife has brass liners to give it some extra flair. I also added a red liner as the color represents burn victims. Deej put on a very successful fundraiser for her friend who’s two year old girl was burned when a pot of boiling water was spilled. That little girl has a long road to recovery, but she is happy and healthy, and I’m grateful that there are still generous people out there willing to help those in times of tragedy.

My buddy got the beautiful Hudson Bay Collins ace head from his father in law. We wanted to give it a new life and knocked out the entire restoration last night. Reworked the bit to have the correct belly, a “lightly toasted” handle, and working on a boiled linseed oil finish. Won’t lie, I’m jealous of this one

This knife will be one of the knives in the auction tomorrow! Again, the proceeds will be donated to the first responders providing medical assistance and training to those who are out in Ukraine. This knife is one of the best I’ve made to date
