🚨 ROOSEVELT SUBWAY SIGNING 🚨

The Vernal Oilers are excited to announce the signing of defenseman Nandor Polonyi!

The Budapest, Hungary native brings valuable Tier II experience to the Oilers' blue line after appearing in 36 games with the NAHL's Shreveport Mudbugs during the 2025-26 season.

Polonyi also brings international experience to Vernal, having represented Hungary's U18 National Team, joining former Oilers Gergo Schwartz, Levente Hegedus, and Bence Veres-Fucsku on the list of Hungarian internationals to suit up for the Oilers.

With a full season of NAHL experience already under his belt, Nandor adds experience and depth to the Oilers' defensive corps as we continue our inaugural season in the NCDC.

Welcome to Oil Country, Nandor! 🔥🛢️🇭🇺

That’s a wrap on home opening weekend.

Three games, three tough losses: Friday against Casper, Saturday in overtime, and Sunday in a shootout. The results stung, but the fight was there all weekend.

Thank you, Oil Country, for showing up and cheering us on. We’ll be back at it. 🧡💙
