Tonight I sit quietly, listening to the crickets, listening to the frogs, and listening to the movement just beyond the shadows.

The night air cool after the rain.
The sound of the dogs in the pool.
The harmony of the world being.

The weekend has settled, and tomorrow waits patiently on the horizon.

And in this moment, I exhale.

Rest well tonight.
We’ll begin again tomorrow.

Sometimes the gentlest part of the day is simply knowing there’s a place waiting for you.

Not the kind that asks you to push harder.

The kind that reminds you to move with intention, breathe with awareness, and trust your own body.

One of the biggest myths in yoga is that there is one correct shape.

One correct Triangle. One correct Mountain. One correct Pyramid.

Triangle is still Triangle when seated in a chair. Triangle is still Triangle when using a block. Triangle is still Triangle when practiced in a bind.

The purpose of the pose isn’t to get your hand lower. The purpose is to experience it in your body.

When we spend a little extra time in a shape, we allow the body to explore. Notice the way the breath shifts, the lymph moves, the nervous system releases. This becomes the relationship between the body and the pose. This is Yoga.

This week, a nod to noticing your body as it moves from one posture to another. Spend an extra breath or two in the shape, getting to know your body’s response.

There’s something special about a room full of people who cheer each other on.

We laugh. We wiggle. We celebrate the little victories. And somehow, we all leave a little lighter than we arrived.

Sometimes when we think about taking a deep breath, we only think about bringing more air in.

But sometimes an inhale is less about the air and more about what it allows.

An inhale can be an invitation to soften the belly instead of holding it in. To let the ribs gently expand. To feel a little more openness across the collarbones. To notice that the throat doesn’t always have to work so hard.

Not because anything is being forced, but because the body is finally being allowed to do what it already knows how to do.
