🤯 3 DAYS UNTIL OPENING GAME DAY!
🗣Let’s talk about one of soccer parents’ favorite subjects: the weather. 🙃
👀 At MCSL, bad weather does not automatically mean soccer is canceled.
☀️ We play in the heat.🔥
💦 Mandatory water breaks will be taken as often as needed—generally every 5–15 minutes—depending on the players’ ages, level of play, temperature, and conditions.
🌧 We play in the rain.
🟤 We play in the mud.
❄️ We may play in snow, cold, and icy conditions. 🥶
🧐 MCSL will determine if the fields are usable and IF games/practices can proceed safely.
⛈🚫 We do not play during thunder or lightning. If thunder is heard or lightning is seen, play stops. Safety comes first. ⚡️
💧 If the fields become too flooded, soggy, or damaged to use, the league will make the call to close fields and publish an announcement.
‼️ Please watch the MCSL page and your team reach for updates.
🥅 We take every reasonable measure to get the kids onto the fields. We have one designated weather makeup day, 10/24 and we try to save it unless it is truly needed.
✅ Unless an official cancellation is announced, please plan to play! 🙌🏻
3️⃣ more days, MCSL family! 🖤💚⚽️
