Labor Day was born from the labor movement of the late 1800s, when workers organized for fair wages, safer working conditions, and something we can all appreciate: time away from work to rest and live.
In 1894, Labor Day became a federal holiday—a day set aside to honor the contributions of American workers.
At Village Yoga, we’re honoring the spirit of the day by doing something simple: not working.
There will be no class on Labor Day. We hope you’ll use the time to rest, be outside, spend time with people you love, or simply do a little less.
Yoga teaches us that rest is part of the practice, too.
Happy Labor Day from Village Yoga. 🤍
