What an unforgettable experience at the 2026 AAU Junior Olympics! ❤️🔥

This week reminded us that victory isn’t always measured by medals. Sometimes, it’s measured by perseverance, growth, and simply making it to the biggest stage.

Unfortunately, Anselm-Son became sick the week before the Junior Olympics. He fought as hard as he could to recover, determined to compete, but constant headaches and dizziness wouldn’t let up. As heartbreaking as it was not to race, God still had a lesson and a blessing in it. He was able to watch the very athletes he’s been competing against all season, study them, learn from them, and see exactly what it takes to reach the next level.

Trust us…this isn’t the end of his story. 2027 is already on his mind. He’ll be back stronger, healthier, wiser, and ready to fight for an All-American finish while chasing new personal bests.

Now let’s talk about our girl, Anselma (Sis)! ❤️

Sis battled illness leading up to the meet as well, but she refused to let it stop her from stepping on the track and competing against some of the best young athletes in the country.

🏅 AAU Junior Olympics Rankings
• #35 in the 200m – 27.55
• #21 in the 400m – 1:02.63

For a first-year track athlete…that’s nothing short of incredible!

The emotions were everywhere—excitement, nerves, pressure, joy—but through it all, she leaned on her parents, Coach Tre, Coach Jelly, and even the encouragement of athletes she competed against. That’s what this sport is all about: competing with heart while building friendships and respect that last beyond the finish line.

To Anselma and Anselm-Son…

We couldn’t be prouder of you both. Your very first year in track and field, and you made it ALL THE WAY to the AAU Junior Olympics. That’s a dream many athletes spend years chasing.

This is not the finish line—it’s the starting line.

2027…we’re coming back hungry.
We’re coming back stronger.
We’re coming back smarter.

That All-American goal is within reach, and those high-50-second 400s are coming.

The future is bright, and this is only the beginning.

Victoria Heat…WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! ❤️🖤🔥

🔥🚨🔥🚨🔥🚨🔥🚨🔥

Victoria HEAT is excited to announce and congratulate all of our AAU athlete’s hard work and dedication. We took 11 athletes to the AAU District meet with 8 of them qualifying to the AAU Regional meet this past weekend and 2 of them qualifying to the National AAU Jr. Olympics in August!!!

Last year, when we started our program, we took 5 athletes to the AAU District meet with 2 athletes qualifying to the AAU Regional meet. We have grown so much in one year and can’t wait to see what the future brings. That growth is a testament to the work being put in by everyone involved, especially our coaches!

Thank you to all of our parents. None of this would be possible without your sacrifices, your support, and the countless hours you dedicate to getting your athletes where they need to be. Thank you for trusting and believing our program as we develop your children.

Thank you athletes, we couldn’t be more proud of you. Thank you for competing with heart, fighting until the very end, and representing Victoria HEAT with pride.

To my coaching staff, thank you from my whole heart as this would NOT be possible without all of you!! Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence has set the bar for the world to see. The long days, the broken healing bones, the early mornings, the late nights, and the countless hours of driving you pour into these athletes do not go unnoticed. We truly have the BEST coaches!!!

Our journey is just beginning!!! The word is out!!! People are asking weekly!! Let’s continue to stay hungry and keep putting in the work. The best is yet to come!!

Junior Olympics, here we come!
