After all Mother Nature has thrown at us, time to get out and party a bit. Please join us in welcoming back Larry & the band, featuring new vocalist and keyboard player, Jackie LaFleur. This is our first chance to check out the new line-up and Larry tells us they've added a few more dance tunes, so get out there and show off them moves. Can't wait to check it out!

We hope y’all come out and celebrate our nation’s 250th Birthday at the Big Thicket, it’s gonna be an amazing day. We’ve got your favorite ice-cold beverages, lots of games and plenty of giveaways, all leading up to a terrific show with the one and only Larry Tillery Band! There won’t be a cover charge tonight, that’s our way of wishing a very Happy Birthday to all of US! Misti & I are heartbroken that we can’t be there with y’all this year, we miss you all more than you know… Being gone for an extended period like this is tough, but we know that we have a terrific team of bartenders and an amazing “bar family” to keep the wheels turning and we truly appreciate every one of you for that. Special Thanks to Sharon & Mitch for taking care of the food and to Katie for taking care of the rest. We couldn’t do any of this without all of you..
If you aren’t headed out to the lake or the beach for the holiday weekend, then c’mon out and enjoy the celebration. If you are headed out, then please be careful out there, we can’t wait to get back and hang out with you all again!

Just a handful of days away, you don't want to miss it! And, this year we're gonna add something different, I've been threatening to host a Co****le tournament for some time now.. Well, that time is now.. Let's do a double elimination, random draw tournament with a $5 entry. And, just because it's our first one, I'll sweeten the pot with a $100!

Sharon is cooking up some pulled pork for tacos with chips & salsa, and we've got some cool prizes to giveaway as well. The fun kicks off at about 4, and we'll start the tournament at 5. Oh, and by the way, Misti and I have decided that we've been away too damn long, so we're making the trip to party with our peeps! We cannot wait to see you all there!

A Very Big Shoutout from all of us at Big Thicket Saloon to all of the young men & young ladies that completed the first of life's big journeys this week. Well Done! And let's not forget the Moms, Dads, Grandparents, & all the family members who helped and sometimes pushed them through. And of course, a very special thank you to the teachers, administrators, & school staff who make it all work. Our country and our world need strong, intelligent & hardworking young people right now more than ever, and it starts in communities like ours. We wish you all the best as you move on to your next chapter.
