September 13–19 has been proclaimed Direct Support Professionals (DSP) Appreciation Week, and KCARC is celebrating the incredible people who make a difference every single day!

Our DSPs are there wherever and whenever they are needed, providing support, encouragement, compassion and care to the people we serve. We simply couldn’t do what we do without them!

Throughout the week, we’ll be highlighting some of our amazing DSPs and sharing special posts celebrating the important work they do. You’ll also see DSP Appreciation signage throughout KCARC facilities!

From community visits to celebrating our amazing employees and members, there’s plenty to be proud of!

🤝 Knox County’s CEO recently toured KCARC and the Coonrod Production Center to learn more about the work we do and the impact we make in our community.

🏆 Congratulations again to our 2026 Transition Student of the Year, Christopher Green! KCARC President Nash Dunn recognized Christopher in the Cut & Sew department during his shift. We are so proud of you, Christopher! 👏

🗳️ Our first-ever Advocacy Council is underway! Voting is happening now, and our members are excited to make their voices heard. Delegates chosen for office will be announced soon!

🌟 And we can’t forget our Mission Champion of the Month, LeAnn Adams! LeAnn is an incredible member of our Cut & Sew team and is dedicated to supporting her coworkers every day. We are so lucky to have her on Team KCARC!
