Well we tried…

Pill draw bit us during the Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association at 35 Raceway Park and had us start P5 in our heat. The track didn’t have a chance to widen up before we hit and weren’t able to make up any ground. That lined us up P15 for the feature. We were able to charge up to 5th, with a late caution that put us into 3rd. With a green, white, checkered to end it, we came up close but still winded up in the final podium spot with another 3rd place finish.

***The remainder of our schedule is tentative- we will post as soon as we can find another place to go rip around.

Man. What an awesome night.

Every time we have unloaded at Portsmouth Raceway Park we have always had to fight and battle with the car. But lastnight, we came in with the mindset the find speed. That this year, this race we were finally going to break the constant bad luck we’ve had at PRP.

Went out for qualifying and was fastest in our group and fastest overall. Took it from P4 to P1 in our heat, then redrew a P3 for the feature. Kory was able to jump out to the lead after a handful of laps. As lap traffic hit, Kory was pinched up into the front stretch wall. Luckily with minimal damage and a broken Jacob’s Ladder, he was able to hold off a fast and hard charging Cale Stinson. Bringing home our 7th feature win of the season!
