Women, please know that THIS is not what fitness is about. Great job to these beautiful women for achieving their fitness goals. This is not to shame them in any way but rather for women to know that this is not what your fitness journey should be about. So many women feel inadequate because this is the first thing they see on their feed when “fitness” pops up. Everyone’s journey is different and you do not have to look like this in order to be beautiful, fit or worthy. Yes, be proud of your body and of how far you have come but know that social media is not the real world❤️.

This photo is a reminder to be stronger than your excuses/situation. I had a female issue that had me down yesterday/today from the gym. Due to medical issues, it was the worst I had ever experienced. TMI but I don’t care cause I’m about transparency. My mentor said to say what your excuse is for not going to the gym out loud and you will realize how ridiculous it sounds. She also said that as female trainers we have to come harder than men and be able to break them down in the gym💪🏼. She was in my head all day🥴😂. So much so that I put my big girl pants on, stopped being a little B**** and took my behind to the gym! Pardon my French but it’s the truth. My fitness journey has been full of life lessons, big and small. I’m grateful for them and for my mentor, she is helping mold me into the trainer that I want to be❤️.

Your journey won’t be easy, but I promise you it will be worth it. The girl on the left would have given up but throughout this journey, I have found myself (the girl on the right). She has realized how strong she is and that she can do anything she sets out to do.

You just don’t know what it meant for me to have this beautiful woman be a part of my Body Positive photo shoot! When I was 18, I met and she took me under her wing. She was a second mother, best friend and sister all in one. She taught me but more importantly, showed me what it was like to be a strong woman! No matter what life has thrown her way, she always comes out on top! Watching her up there warmed my heart so much. She was giving me life, she rocked it!!! this is just the beginning of your journey and I’m so proud of you for staying true to who you are. Love you always momma❤️😘.
