VHS Tennis: Sam Heck Nabs SJ Sportsmanship Award

Making the jump from JV to Singles is never easy, but Sam Heck handled the challenge with maturity, determination, and class throughout the season. While the year came with its share of learning experiences, Sam continued to compete hard and represent VHS with outstanding sportsmanship. His growth this season has laid a strong foundation, and he will look to build on that experience and take another step forward next year.

TESS FISHER / VHS TENNIS SCHOLARSHIP

If there were ever two student-athletes who could be described as opposites, it would be Marely and Kashvi. Marely is quiet and soft-spoken—you hardly know she’s in the room. Kashvi is energetic, outspoken, and you definitely know when she’s not.

Despite their differences, they share one defining trait: grit.

For four years, they gave everything they had to our program and then some. Their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to their teammates embodied everything Tess Fisher stood for. Both are incredibly deserving recipients of this scholarship, and we are proud to honor them with the 2026 Tess Fisher/VHS Tennis Scholarship.

8th grader Haley Anderson is putting in the work and getting valuable reps on the court.

She’s officially caught the tennis bug, and her dedication is showing with every practice session. Haley continues to develop her skills, build confidence, and sharpen her game as she prepares for the upcoming season.

With her commitment and passion for improvement, she’s poised to make some noise this fall. Keep an eye on Haley Anderson—her hard work is setting the stage for an exciting season ahead! 🎾💪
