This isn't something we wanted to do, but the rain God's gave us no choice. We are cancelling the Sept 19 event. Unfortunately, the Spring Invaders will be unable to race at a later date. As for the Legend cars we are going to move that race to Oct 3. We will move the Hobby Stocks from Oct 3 to the Oct. 17 event. We will announce at a later date what other classes will be racing on Oct. 17. Yes, we are aware of a special at Maquoketa on Oct 17. Last year we both raced on the same night, and we had 154 cars and they had just as many.

We were able to get on the track late morning yesterday morning and were able to get 3/4 of the wall installed. Today we are using the rain as time to repair all the equipment we broke yesterday. Dang rain God just isn't giving us any breaks

Do to all the rain we've had we are behind schedule getting the track built. We will not be able to hold a practice prior to the Sept. 19 event.

The Dirt track is coming along

Tuesday morning we were in full force starting to put dirt on the quarter mile track. Bushman Excavating started hauling dirt and our team started to spread it. We started at 7:00 AM and by 7:30 PM we had the complete track covered in dirt. Then came the rain Tuesday night. We knew it was coming and everyone worked their butts off non stop. Special thanks to Mark Vogt, Scott Geater, JJ Becker, Jim Williams, Larry Jeons, John Huff, and Don Burky. Today was fix equipment day and dry time for the dirt. We'll hit it hard again tomorrow and start packing and grading.
