Riverside Park Update!

The full sidewalk loop at Riverside Park is now open! The new sidewalk improvements provide better connections throughout the park, including access to the playground, river overlook, and other park amenities.

The new StoryWalk is taking shape, too! Installation of the StoryWalk panels is currently underway and will continue in preparation for the official kick-off celebration on September 18.

Join the Vinton Public Library, Vinton Parks & Recreation Department, and Vinton Unlimited on Friday, September 18 from 1:30–3:00 PM for the Riverside Park StoryWalk Kick-Off Party!

Come out, explore the new sidewalk loop, be among the first to experience the completed StoryWalk, and help us celebrate this community project.

Thank you to Vinton Unlimited, the Vinton Public Library, the Max and Helen Guernsey Charitable Foundation, and everyone who helped make these improvements possible!

Kiwanis Park has some new additions!

New sidewalks, a Gaga Ball pit, and our new Outdoor Fitness Area are all ready to go.

The fitness equipment was donated by Scheels of Coralville and is for ages 13+. Please follow the posted rules and use the equipment as intended.

A big thank you to Vinton Unlimited for their large financial contribution, along with the Vinton Kiwanis Club and Scheels of Coralville , for helping make these improvements possible.
