Race Recap:
Cotton’s Corner Racing

We qualified 10th out of 13 karts in the Predator 350 Open Tire class, putting us starting 3rd in the B-Feature. Had a strong run, briefly working my way up to 2nd before falling back to 4th, then fighting back to finish 3rd in the closing laps. Unfortunately, right after the checkered flag, the brakes failed and I ended up crashing into the pit gate. Thankfully, the kart sustained minimal damage and I only walked away with a few bruises. Most importantly, I hope everyone who was hit by the gate is okay. Definitely not the way we wanted to end the night, but grateful it wasn’t worse. Thank you to everyone who ran to my rescue to check on me! We’ll get it fixed up and hopefully back out to race in mid September.

Race Recap:
Cotton’s Corner Racing

Tonight was a solid night overall. Jacob qualified 4th for the No Prep Reaper Feature. We had a small issue with the kart after that session that kept us from qualifying for the Reaper Prep Feature. In the No Prep Reaper Feature Jacob started 4th, fell to 5th on the initial start and then drove back to finish 2nd. During the race the chain hopped the guard and bent it too much for us to continue our night and run the Reaper Prep Feature.

No Prep Reaper Feature:
Start: 4th
Finish: 2nd

Race Recap:
Cotton’s Corner Racing

It was a hot one yesterday! Jacob and the Revved Up Racing team would have another solid run in the 50 lap Cotton Lowery Memorial Race. Jacob would qualify in 2nd and would fall to 3rd off the start but would regain second place in the closing laps to score his 3rd podium finish this season.

Race Recap:
Cotton’s Corner Racing

Yesterday was another solid night at Cotten’s Corner and a big milestone for Jacob and the team. With around 15 karts entered in the Predator 350 Stock Open Tire division, there were enough entries to require a B-Main. Jacob put together a strong qualifying run, earning the 6th fastest time and locking himself directly into the A-Main for the first time under those circumstances.

Open Tire A-Main:
Start: 6th
Finish: 7th

While the finishing position wasn’t quite where the team hoped to be, qualifying straight into the A-Main against a strong field was a great accomplishment and another step forward. The team will take what they learned, continue to improve, and get ready for the next race.
